Ganzouri Holds A Meeting To Discuss The Petroleum Crisis

Dr. Kamal Al Ganzouri, Egypt’s PM, held today a meeting to discuss the problem of smuggling the petroleum products and to take measures to stop this crime which affects the country’s national security, moreover, to adjust the way of trading and allocating theses products.

 Attended the meeting, Dr Gouda Abdel Khaleq- the minister of supply and internal commerce-and Eng Abdullah Ghorab- minister of petroleum- Major General Mohammed Ibrahim- minister of interior affairs- and Major General Ahmed Moafy – minister of interior affairs assistant.

 “The crisis will be finished within 4 days”, minister of petroleum expected that. He assured that urgent measures for facing the current crisis have been taken, whereas amounts of petroleum products will be pumped to meet daily consumption rates and also watching the crossings, stores and stations of allocating the petroleum products.

This crisis sparked deadly clashes in different governorates to leave 1 dead in Al Gharbia, 8 injured in Dakahlia and 3 in Dimyat. The gas station followed the way of allocating limit amounts to each car, maximum 20 liters.
