German coronavirus cases surge

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany has surged to 240, from 196 cases as of Tuesday, according to the RKI health institute.

North Rhine-Westphalia is the worst affected state with 111 infections, while the capital Berlin has reported six cases, CNBC reported.
