Egyptian Juhayna Food Industries has injected new investments worth 2.3 billion Egyptian pounds (US$293.7million) within the last four years, Nahla Mokhtar – head of communications and PR division- said Tuesday.
Mokhtar made these remarks during a workshop held Monday about women and health which have been organised by Juhayna in cooperation with Enty El-Aham campaign (You’re Important).
the head stated that Juhayna – one of Egypt’s largest dairy and juice makers- had not stopped its expansions despite the political turbulences that Egypt witnessed since 2011 as it pumped investments estimated at 450 million pounds in 2011.
In 2012, the dairy giant injected 750 million pounds and 650 million in 2013 in addition to 500 million pounds in 2014.
Mokhtar added that Juhayna has established Enmaa for Livestock Company with investments worth 200 million pounds to produce milk. The firm includes around 1,600 cows and targets increasing them to 4,000 within the upcoming period.
In 1983, Juhayna Food Industries has been founded with issued capital estimated at 1.3 million pounds while its current issued capital worth 941 million pounds.
Juhayna is currently owning 7 factories; its dairy and juice factory that has been established in 1987 then the group acquired El Masreya Company for Dairy and Juice Products in 2005.
Juhayna also established El Marwa factory (2004), Modern Concentrates Factory (2007), El Dawleya industrial complex (2009) , EgyFood factory for dairy products in Assiut (2013).
