Global coronavirus cases surpass 3.4 million, with more than 243,600 deaths

Global coronavirus cases have exceeded 3.4 million, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

More than 243,600 people across the world have died from the respiratory disease Covid-19, Hopkins data read.

The United States reported the highest number of cases, with more than 1.1 million infections and over 66,000 deaths. Recently, the death toll in the country from coronavirus surpassed American fatalities from the Vietnam War.

Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany are still some of the worst-affected countries after the U.S.
