Global coronavirus cases top 350,000, death toll cross 15,000

Global coronavirus cases have crossed over 350,536 people and killed at least 15,328, according to Johns Hopkins University.

In the past week, global cases have more than doubled in the past week, while deaths have nearly tripled, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said in a briefing on Monday.

Outside of China, where the virus emerged in late December, Italy has reported the most cases with around 60,000.
