H. Kong’s trade sees modest growth in Oct. ’24

Hong Kong’s total export volume increased by 0.3 per cent in October 2024, and total imports rose by 1.5 per cent, compared to the same month in 2023, according to the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) report on Tuesday.

In October 2024, export volume increased to Vietnam (29.9 per cent), mainland China (4.4 per cent), and the USA (1.0 per cent), but decreased to Taiwan (-3.4 per cent) and India (-34.0 per cent) compared to October 2023.

In October 2024, import volumes increased from Taiwan (11.4 per cent), Singapore (10.5 per cent), Japan (6.3 per cent), and the Mainland (0.7 per cent), while decreasing from Korea by 13.1 per cent compared to October 2023.
