Half of Gaza’s population facing starvation due to Israeli aggression – UN

Nine out of 10 people cannot eat every day in Gaza, as half of the population is now “starving” amid the Israeli aggression on the Strip, said Carl Skau, deputy executive director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP), on Friday.

The situation inside Gaza was increasingly chaotic as people grabbed what they could from aid distribution points, Skau explained, following his visit to the besieged coastal strip on Friday.

“I am very hungry,” said Mustafa al-Najjar, sheltering in an UN-run school in Jabaliya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. “We are living on canned food and biscuits and this is not sufficient.”
