Hassan Allam to implement the biggest building in Egypt’s new capital city

Egyptian government has chosen construction major Hassan Allam to implement the biggest administrative building in the ministerial district of the country’s new capital city project.

The new building will be at total cost of more than 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($71 million).

The total number of Egyptian construction companies tasked with works in the ministerial district is expected to exceed 20.

Atef Barbary, Hassan Allam’s Managing Director for Financial Affairs, said Sunday that his company had received the land plot for the new building.

“We target delivering a bundle of utilisation works and some housing units in the first phase of the administrative capital city project within June 2017, with total costs worth 700 million pounds.” Barbary said

Being assigned to take part in the country’s mega national projects has helped Hassan Allam witness a recent surge in the volume of its businesses, the Egyptian official added.

“We are planning to increase our business volume to 2.5 billion pounds at the end of next financial year (2017/2018), compared with two billion pounds at the end of last year.”
