Hatem Saleh: EU Puts Egypt On Its Priorities List

The Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Hatem Saleh, has affirmed that the government’s supporting of the small and medium entrepreneurs made the European Union (EU), the first trade partner to Egypt, reconsiders its economic thoughts patterns, and putting Egypt on its priorities list in the coming period.

In the upcoming period the government is aiming at resuming the incentives programs for the investors in the small and medium entrepreneurs sector. This is to increase these entrepreneurs so as to achieve growth rates at 7% within five years, the minister added.

This came during his keynote speech in the Egyptian-European investment forum on Tuesday; referring that the EU is the first trade partner to Egypt, about $ 38 billion accumulating value within the last ten years.
