Hatem Saleh, Govt Seeks To Overcome Crisis With Nile Basin Countries

Eng. Hatem Saleh, Egypt’s Industry Minister, said that the Egyptian government is seeking to overcome this stage through the joint cooperation with the Nile Basin countries and having real partnerships with them during the coming period. Moreover, it looks for real solutions for the problems with the neighboring African countries, especially the Nile water problem.

Saleh, on his “Facebook” account, has referred that the joint cooperation and the mutual respect are the key principles with the neighboring African countries.

He said the conference, which has been held lately entitled “Nile Integral 1”, with the participation of all the countries that signed COMESA, discussed the ways of establishing a mechanism of the private sector works parallel with the official bodies to support and develop the commercial and economic integration among the Nile Basin countries.

The conference included an initiative to select the latest methods to get rid of the wastes and transformed them to fuel that have economic feasibility, by the participation of many African and Egyptian political figures, such as Amr Moussa, former Secretary-General of Arab League, and Al Sadek Al Mahdy, former president of Sudan.
