Egyptian Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, Hatem Saleh, said the ministry keens on providing all the facilities for the Egyptian producers who desire to participate in the venture of Egyptian industrial zone in Ethiopia. This zone is allocated by the Ethiopian government to the Egyptian investors on an area of million square meters.
The minister elaborated that this zone comes in the framework of the ministry’s complete scheme to boost the commercial, economic and investing activity between Egypt and Nile Basin countries, as well all the African countries. The Egyptian government seeks to remove all the obstacles to the intra-region trade and establishing new joint investments between the two sides; in a way that contributes to expanding and developing this joint cooperation in the coming period to include different fields, he added.
Saleh also referred that the ministry as well its numerous apparatus provide the necessary support to all the Egyptian manufacturers and exporters, so as to open new markets for promoting their products in Africa during the coming period. The Egyptian government primarily considers the African market as one of the important promising markets for the Egyptian exports.
