Hatem Saleh: New Procedures To Approve Civil Protection For Facilities

The Egyptian Minister of Industry, Eng. Hatem Saleh, has announced the start of implementing new procedures to rapidly issue the approvals that concern the civil protection for the industrial facilities and securing them against fire; pursuant to the global system. He elaborated that it has been agreed with the General Administration of Civil Protection, an affiliate of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, on forming a joint committee between the two sides to coordinate and take the procedures, mechanisms and provide the necessary facilities for the industrial plants over securing them against fire.

This came during the wide meeting convened between the minister and Gen. Mohamed Sakr, Deputy the General Administration of Civil Protection, and attended by Dr Mahmoud EL Garf- Head of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Eng. Mohamed El Swedie, Deputy to Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) and a number of officials in the General Administration of Civil Protection. The meeting tackled the importance of setting a deadly system in order to make the investors easily get the approvals over insurance against fire for the industrial facilities

The minister elaborated that these procedures are aiming at making the investors and owners of the industrial facilities easily get the necessary approvals in a short period.

For his part, Gen. Mohamed Sakr emphasized that the administration keens on providing all the facilities for all the industrial and services plants in all the governorates to get the approvals of insurance against fire in the framework of committing to the international and local criteria and conditions.
