Hill International consortium wins Egypt monorail project deal
A consortium led by U.S. project management firm Hill International has won the project management, design review, and implementation supervision consultancy services for the monorail lines in Egypt’s Administrative Capital and 6th of October cities.
Hill’s bid in alliance with U.S. firm HJI Group Corporation beat rivals, which included a number of foreign and local consortia participating in the project.
With approximately 2,700 professionals in more than 65 offices worldwide, Hill provides programme management, project management, construction management, and other consulting services to clients in a variety of market sectors.
Engineering News-Record Magazine (ENR) has recently ranked Hill as the eighth largest construction management firm in the United States.
Hill International has successfully managed and completed major projects across Egypt and the North Africa Region, including hotels, residential communities, hospitals, corporate headquarters, and airports. Currently, Hill NA manages mega projects in Egypt, including Cairo Metro Line 3 Phase 3, Cairo Light Rail, the Grand Egyptian Museum, besides many hotels, hospitals, and residential communities.
With its strong experience in railways, metro, and monorail worldwide in addition to its expertise in the integrated infrastructure projects, Hill will use this experience in the successful implementation of Egypt’s first Monorail project which aims to develop the mass transportation taking place in the country.
The company aims to support Egypt’s strategy in railways and metro projects in cooperation with authorities thus forming a progressive boom for the Egyptian industrial sector.
