IKEA bets on remote interior designs

IKEA is currently training call centre workers to be interior design advisers, aiming to offer home improvement services, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

IKEA expanded its interior design services to the UK and the U.S. in April, amid previous launches in some parts of Europe, Australia, the UAE, and others.

In the UK, customers pay about 25 pounds for a video call that lasts for 45-60 minutes for interior design advice.

They can also pay 125 pounds for three workspace design consultations, a floor plan, and 3D visuals.

It is worth mentioning that the company has also trained 8,500 call centre agents as interior design advisers since 2021.
