IMF approval paves way for Egypt’s economic vision – PM
The IMF Executive Board’s approval of the third review of Egypt’s economic reform programme marks an important step towards achieving the nation’s economic reform vision, stated Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.
He added that this endorsement is viewed as a strong affirmation of the Egyptian government’s programme, which encompasses a series of financial and economic reforms and targets.
Madbouly further highlighted that current economic indicators are trending positively, demonstrating the resilience and effectiveness of the reforms.
“The Egyptian government successfully achieved robust budget performance indicators in the past fiscal year and has set ambitious goals for the current fiscal year, despite facing significant economic pressures and challenging external conditions,” Madbouly said.
The Prime Minister emphasised the government’s unwavering commitment to reducing the debt-to-GDP ratio and easing its burdens, signalling a continued focus on sustainable economic growth.
