The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) mission is expected to visit Egypt next Wednesday to resume talks with the Egyptian authorities over US$ 4.8 billion loan, said Cabinet’s spokesman Alaa El-Hadidy.
The Cabinet did not talk with IMF over the emergency loan mentioned in some analyses. The delegation will meet with a number of officials including the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt.
El-Hadidy affirmed that the government will implement the economic reform plan regardless of whether an agreement is reached or not.
