IMF raises Brazil’s 2024 growth forecast to 3.0%

Brazil is projected to achieve an economic growth rate of 3.0 per cent in 2024, followed by a slowdown to 2.2 per cent in 2025, as indicated in the International Monetary Fund‘s (IMF) latest Economic Outlook released on Tuesday.

This marks an upward revision compared to the IMF’s July estimates of 2.1 per cent for 2024 and slight downward from a projection of 2.4 per cent in 2025.

The latest report also highlights inflation trends in the South American nation, forecasting an inflation rate of 4.3 per cent for 2024, decreasing to 3.6 per cent in 2025.
