Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar called Egypt on Saturday to participate in the G20 summit 20223, during a press conference in Cairo with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.

Egypt’s presence would represent a strong addition to the G20 meetings, Jaishankar stressed. The meetings will tackle issues including climate change and supporting developing countries, Indian foreign minister added.

India will host the G20 summit which will last for two days in New Delhi, as the summit is scheduled to be in September 2023.
