INTELCIA to invest EGP500 mln in new outsourcing company in Egypt

Moroccan business process outsourcing (BPO), INTELCIA is planning to invest 500 million Egyptian pounds ($16.182 million) in Egypt to launch an outsourcing specialised firm, it announced in a press conference on Wednesday.

INTELCIA is aiming to increase its investment throughout the two upcoming years to reach 2 billion pounds, with a focus on hiring 5,000 employees during the next four years, stated Nidal Afid, Egypt Cluster Director.

The Moroccan company will be aiming to employ 1,000 employees during the first stage, with recruitment starting in the Smart Village and Borg El Arab Technology Park, then widen its scope across other governorates, Afid added.

“INTELCIA chose the Egyptian market to offer outsourcing services in multiple languages, especially with Egyptian youth’s language capabilities, which represent the core of outsourcing service provision,” said Afid.

Afid also stressed on the importance of the Egyptian market understanding the nature of the Arab region, and how it makes Egypt the company’s gateway to the Gulf market.

INTELSIA exists in 17 countries around the world, and is aiming to generate revenue of €1.5 billion by 2025, Afid mentioned.
