Investment Minister Heads to New York to Participate in Egypt’s Economic Conference

Today morning the Egyptian investment Minister, Osama Salah, has traveled to New York to participate in the first international conference in USA ,to discuss the economic reform in Egypt and the challenges which the economy faced after June30 demonstrations.

The Minister will meet a number of Egyptian ministers and officials in the conference, including Dr. Ziad Bahaa El-Din, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Egypt’s ambassador in Washington, Mohamed Tawfiq, and the head of Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX), Mohamed Omran, as well as the head of International Monetary Fund mission (IMF), Christopher Jarvis, in addition, the officials, organizations and international economic institutions.

The conference will discuss the idea of creating economic councils under the name of ‘economic reform in Egypt’ so as to develop long-term economic and financial policies to support the national economy especially after Egypt’s interim phase.
