iPhone overthrows Samsung as best-seller in ‘23

Apple’s iPhone overthrew Samsung smartphones and became the best-selling smartphone in 2023, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, this came as the first time ever for Samsung to lose the top spot since 2010.

The iPhones shipped in 2023 accounted for a fifth of the global market with around 235 million shipments.

Samsung’s shipments; however, stood at 226.6 million shipments and came in second.

Apple; however, is currently facing a drop in its sales in China, as the sales dropped by 30 per cent in just the first week of 2024.
