Iraq Eyes Egyptian Partnership To Establish Factories In Basra: Hussein Sabour

Hussein Sabour, Head of Egyptian Businessmen Association, in his statements to Amwal Al Ghad, revealed that the Iraqi government is negotiating with its Egyptian counterpart and a number of   pharmaceutical companies over an investment partnership to establish two factories in Basra.

Sabour said the Iraqi negotiations are led by two Iraqi Ministries of Health and Industry. The Iraqi Ministry of Health is planning for establishing a factory with Egyptian partnership; while the Ministry of Industry is willing to establish one more factory under the unavailability of any factories operate in pharmaceutical sector in Iraq.

He elaborated that the Egyptian partnership in the two factories only involves transferring the Egyptian experience and technology into medicine industry in Iraq. And the Iraq government will completely afford the investment costs for the new factories.
