Italian firms unveil new investments in Egypt – minister
A bunch of Italian firms announced on Tuesday plans to pump investments in Egypt’s renewable energy, transportation, and industrial sectors.
This announcement was made after Egyptian Investment Minister Sahar Nasr held meetings with the officials of the Italian firms during her visit to Roma. The two sides discussed ways of increasing cooperation in infrastructure field.
Nasr stressed Egypt’s interest to increase investments with Italy in light of strategic and historical extended relations between the two countries.
Transportation sector in Egypt witnesses a great development due to its importance in attracting investors, Nasr said. There are promising investment opportunities in this sector, she added.
Italian investors affirmed their confidence in the Egyptian economy’s outlook that supports the Italian firms’ expansions plans.
