The employment rate of EDU Egypt’s graduates, a program organized by the Information Technology Institute (ITI), has reached 82% of the annual total number of graduates.
On her part, Eng. Heba Saleh, Information Technology Institute (ITI) Deputy and Acting Chairman, stated that 4882 trainees have joined the fourth phase of the program. The program provides a one-year training for third and fourth year university students on the qualifications required by the information technology sector and the job market, she said.
She added that the Information Technology Institute has initiated the fifth phase of the program at the second semester of the academic year of 2011/2012. This phase included 9000 junior and senior students at 45 faculties in 13 universities. She further noted that the number of trainees has reached 35.000 since the launch of the program in 2007.
She also pointed out that the fourth job fair held by Edu Egypt is finalizing its activities today, emphasizing that 17 Egyptian and international companies have participated in the fair, providing more than 7378 vacancies in the field of information technology export and business process outsourcing (BPO).
