Japan to unveil larger stimulus package than last year

The Japanese government is set to introduce a stimulus package that will surpass the size of last year’s measures, which were funded by a 13 trillion yen ($87 billion) supplementary budget.

Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Kazuhiko Aoki announced this on Wednesday, echoing Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba‘s remarks made during a campaign speech for the lower house election.
