Japan’s Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group is set to build a health supplements and energy drinks factory in Egypt, according to its statement on Monday.
The factory is expected to have investments of more than 1.2 billion Egyptian pounds, the statement added.
The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) approved to dedicate a 95,000 sqm plot of land in the 10th of Ramadan City for the company to establish its project.
IDA’s chairman Mohamed Abdel Karim said that the authority is ready to offer support to enable the company to start its project as soon as possible.
The factory is going to run on clean energy and the latest international technologies, said Egypt Otsuka’s President Ahmed Zaghloul.
