Kandil Nominates Hani Mahmoud For Ministry of Communications Portfolio

Eng. Hani Mahmoud, a consultant to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Postal Policies, said he met with Dr Hesham Kandil, Egypt’s Prime Minister, because of nominating him as minister of communications.

In statements to “Amwal Al Ghad”, Mahmoud said the meeting came to discuss general issues in the sector; explaining that he was among several names who were nominated for the post. He said he expects choosing a suitable minister for bearing the responsibility during this critical period which the economy faces.

Eng. Hani Mahmoud is working now as a consultant to the minister of Communications and Information Technology for Postal Policies. He was the head of the authority last year, and was a former head of  the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).  He was appointed as a director of the governmental relations and human resources in Vodafone UK since several years; in addition he was a deputy to the chairman of Vodafone Egypt for several years.
