Lights go out at Indonesian Hospital in Gaza after Israel cuts fuel

The Indonesian hospital in Gaza Strip lost power at dawn on Tuesday after it ran out of fuel completely, sparking fears that the many injured patients could be without crucial medical care.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza has issued an alarming statement, declaring that the health system in the strip is facing its most dire stage in history. The medical staff announced that the hospital in the Beit Lahia area had been completely without power.

Palestinian militant group Hamas called on Arab and Islamic countries and the United Nations to urgently remedy the power outage in the hospital and provide fuel supplies to operate electrical generators.

It is worth mentioning the Ministry of Health in Gaza has issued a warning early Tuesday, stating that hospital electric generators will cease functioning within the next 48 hours due to the fuel shortage.
