Local, Arab Buyers Back EGX 30 to Hit 5313 pts – Midday

Egypt’s stock market has posted midday gains of EGP 152 million backed by local and Arab buyers on Tuesday. The benchmark rose above 5310 pts.

The Egyptian Exchange’s indices were trading in mixed notes on Tuesday noon.

Benchmark EGX30 went up by 0.51% to 5313.28 p; while EGX20 increased by 0.31% to 6229.55 p.

On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dropped by 0.39% to 427.26 p.  Price index EGX100 streadied at 729.08 p.

The capital market has reached EGP 355.761 billion during the midday session of Tuesday, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English at 12:05 p.m. Cairo time (10:05 GMT).

Trading Volumes & Values

The trading volume has recorded 19.083 million securities worth EGP 75.269 million, exchanged through 4.401 thousand transactions during Tuesday midday.

Investors’ Activities

The local and Arab investors were net buyers seizing 68.38% and 3.5% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 8.334 million and EGP 1.722 million, excluding the deals.

Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 28.12% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 10.056 million excluding the deals.
