Malaysia’s investments in Egypt hit $5 billion

Malaysian investments in Egypt are estimated at $5 billion, primarily in gas, oil, and electricity sectors, said the head of the Egyptian part of the Malaysia-Egypt Business Council on Saturday.

During the council meeting in Cairo Saturday, Sherif El-Gabaly further said the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Malaysia amounts to $1 billion annually.
