McDonald’s to pump new investments for 12 new branches in Egypt next year

Fast food giant McDonald’s  is planning to invest more than 200 million Egyptian pounds ($12.7 million) to open 12 new branches in Egypt during 2021, according to its Egypt franchise general manager.

The company was forced to temporarily halt construction on four outlets that had begun earlier this year and has seen a decline in revenues in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Construction has now resumed and the drop-off in sales has been contained, McDonald’s Manfoods Egypt’s Alaa Fathy told local newspaper Al Mal on Wednesday.
