The Egyptian medical insurance sector injected about EGP 2 billion into pharmacists, hospitals and clinics in the last fiscal year, which has boosted the national economy, said Adel Mounir, deputy chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA).
Mounir emphasized on the importance of the Second Regional Forum on Medical Insurance & Healthcare as it sends a message which proves that the Egyptian market is still competent despite the political and economic unrest in the country.
The forum seeks to explore the view of insurance and healthcare management companies and stress the importance of integration between both for their own benefit. The specialized conferences achieve more benefit than general conference, he noted.
Boosting the medical insurance sector will bring many benefits to the society such as reducing unemployment rates as it provides pharmacists, hospitals and clinics with employees to collect bills, he added.
