Minister Says Iranian Tourism File Closed, Welcomes Turkish Tourists in Egypt

Hisham Zaazou, Egyptian Minister of Tourism asserted that his country has completely closed the file of Iranian tourism, and this decision meets with the Egyptian people in the streets, along with the situations between the two countries.

Zaazou announced that he will welcome any tourist holds Turkish citizenship on Egypt’s territory.

Zaazou explained that tourism is like industry it hasn’t related to the governments and regimes and we can’t deprive any tourist to visit Egypt, regardless his nationality or the his country’s regime, pointing out that the Turkish people does not have anything to do with the orientation of his Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his attitude towards June30 uprising which reflects the will of the Egyptians.

Zaazou further illustrated that there are about 245 thousand Egyptian hotel rooms occupied by tourists of various nationalities, but Egypt will not get the appropriate share in the New Year’s holiday season because of the continuing ban on travel from some countries to Egypt.
