Egypt suspends selling extra unsubsidised sugar on ration cards

Egypt’s Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has halted the distribution of unsubsidised sugar per ration cards.

Subsidised sugar will continue at 12.6 Egyptian pound per kilogram, with one kilogram per person for households of up to three members and two kilograms for households with four or more members. Unsubsidised subsidised sugar remains available at 27 Egyptian pound per kilogram.
