Egypt’s state-owned Misr Insurance has won an insurance policy tender to cover judges supervising the country’s senate elections, according to sources.

The insurance policy is with a total sum insured up to around 2 billion Egyptian pounds ($125.2 million), sources with knowledge further told Amwal Al Ghad on Monday.

The policy will cover the risks of death and total or permanent partial disability for nearly 20,000 judges, they said.

Also, the policy includes coverage of risks related to terrorist attacks and damages that may occur to the judges, the sources added.
