The leading insurer in MENA region, Misr Insurance Company has won a medical insurance policy bid launched by Egyptian cable maker Elsewedy Electric, sources with knowledge of the matter told Amwal Al Ghad.
The insurance policy is with a total sum insured up to 340 million Egyptian pounds (US$38.3 million), tailored for Elsewedy Electric’s 6,576 employees.
The policy is a one-year renewable term, involving an insurance coverage of all the medical risks arising out of surgeries, endoscopes, in addition to the medical bills, outpatient clinics, medicines, dental treatments, and chronic diseases, the sources added.
Prime Health for Medical Services SAE will manage the policy insurance, through directing a specialised medical network spread across Egypt, the source stated.
