Egypt and Ukraine are to hold their Joint Economic and Scientific Cooperation Committee meetings within the second half of November or the first half of December this year.
Minister of International Cooperation Naglaa Al-Ahwany met Saturday with Ukrainian Minister of Agriculture Oleksiy Pavlenko and his accompanied delegation that took part in the New Suez Canal inauguration ceremony.
The two ministers agreed that the coming meetings for the joint committee shall focus on certain areas of cooperation; the trade, tourism, education, agriculture, irrigation, health, and infrastructure.
Minister Pavlenko has welcomed an Egyptian proposal to hold an Egyptian-Ukrainian businessmen forum on the sidelines of the planned joint committee.
The Ukrainian minister further stressed the importance of increasing the volume of trade exchange with Cairo, boosting the Egyptian exports to Ukraine, and encouraging Ukrainian investments in Egypt amid plans to carry out mega projects following the inauguration of the new Suez Canal.
