Netflix announces release date of final season of The Crown

Netflix announced on Monday the release date of one of the most anticipated series on the platform, The Crown, to be on 16th of November.

The series will be released in two parts with the first being on the 16th of November and the second on the 14th of December.

The Netflix original first aired in 2016 as a fictionalised version of the British royal family, yet based around real historical events.

The fifth season left people on the edge of their seats after it closed with the beginning of the friendship between Princess Diana and Egyptian Tycoons Mohamed and Dodi Al-Fayed.

The final season will discuss the romance between the princess and Dodi which led to their demise, as well as the premiership of Tony Blair, and the early relationship between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The series garnered a number of awards including 21 Emmys.

It stars a number of talented actresses and actor including Imelda Staunton as Queen ELizabeth II, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, and Ed McVey as Prince Williams.

The series also stars Luther Ford as Prince Harry, Dominic West as Prince Charles, and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker-Bowles.
