The total investments of New Aswan City reached around 2 billion Egyptian pounds ($113.4 million) until the end of June 2018.
New Aswan City was established following a presidential decree (96/1999) on an area of 3,900 feddans. It is located on the west bank of the River Nile.
Egypt is currently carrying out 66 fully furnished villas and road projects besides drinking water and sewage plants in New Aswan, announced head of New Aswan City Authority Ahmed Rashad on Monday.
“We are implementing 1,840 units, including 92 buildings in New Aswan as part of a social housing project in the country,” Rashad said.
