New Suez Canal celebrations come to a close with a bang

The day’s celebrations marking the opening of the New Suez Canal came to a close with a lavish ceremony in the town of Ismailia, Thursday. The ceremony, attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, included theatrical displays, singing, and other music as well as fireworks.
