Nine Dead In Car Accident In Upper Egypt

A microbus crashed in a truck on the Upper Egypt’s Luxor-Aswan desert road on Saturday night leaving nine dead.

Another six were injured and sent to Luxor international hospital.

According to AP, Egyptian police estimate road accidents kill about 6,000 people every year.

A 2011 report issued by Egypt’s Central Authority for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed that road and rail accidents claimed the lives of over 7,000 Egyptians in 2010.
