OCI Says 2 Production Lines Shut Down In EFC On Gas Disruption

Orascom Construction Industries – OCI – (OCIC.CA) said two production lines were shut down on Monday in Egyptian Fertilizer Co. (EFC) due to low pressure and disruption of natural gas supply.

In the first quarter of 2008, OCI acquired the Egyptian Fertilizers Company. Accordingly, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) administration decided to suspend trading for the stock until receiving more details in this regard.

OCI had previously denied that its investments in the U.S. were hurt by Sandy hurricane.
