Oriental Weavers’ Average Volume Of Sales Hits US$12 Bln; Says CEO

Egypt’s leading carpet manufacturer Oriental Weavers Group (ORWE.CA) posts average volume of sales per year of around US$12 billion at global market level, said OW’s Chairman Mohamed Farid Khamis on Wednesday.

Khamis noted that OW’s volume of sales mostly based on the Egyptian market which export the company’s products to a number of neighboring countries of the Arab region and Africa.

In an exclusive statement to Amwal Al Ghad, Khamis noted that Oriental Weavers is studying a number of expansion plans for the global market through establishing 3 factors in Europe for the purpose of overcoming the export obstacles OW encounters, besides 2 more in the Industrial Zone in the 10th of Ramadan to produce synthetic fibers.

Elsewhere, Oriental Weavers Chairman has stressed his confidence in the Egyptian government’s ability to draw up a clear path towards the country’s development. He expected that Egypt is likely to receive large amounts of foreign investments within the coming period which would contribute in return to the progress in the country’s industrial and export growth.

Meanwhile, Oriental Weavers Group has been named the best carpet manufacturer last month during Hannover International Fair, representing more opportunities to have more expansions in the EU market.
