OTMT Extends Lebanon’s Alfa Contract for 3 Months

Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding S.A.E. (OTMT) announced on Sunday that it received an extension to the management contract of the Lebanese mobile telecommunications operator Alfa for a period of three additional months from April 1 till June 30, 2014.
The company further said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange, despite the extension’s short duration, it is committed to playing a positive role in developing Lebanon’s mobile phone sector.

OTMT and in cooperation with Lebanon’s Ministry of Telecommunications will pursue Alfa’s growth policy it has followed since 2009, which is a strategic sector for the economic progress in Lebanon.
