Palestinian singer Elyanna to perform at Gouna Film Festival today
Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna will perform on Thursday at the opening ceremony of the El Gouna Film Festival (GFF), in line with the festival’s theme, “Cinema for Humanity.”
Following two postponements, the sixth edition of GFF will kick off on Thursday, December 14 until December 21, in the Red Sea resort of El-Gouna, with special programmes dedicated to Palestinian and Sudanese cinemas.
It is worth mentioning that Elyanna has postponed her first North American tour because she wants to honour the people of Palestine. “I wish peace among my people,” she wrote on Instagram on October 26th.
In April, the star made history as the first artist to perform a full set in Arabic at Coachella, an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
