Paperworld Middle East 2013 looks to build on previous success

Representing the world of paper products, office supplies, gifts and stationery, the third edition of Paperworld Middle East is expected to build on the success of earlier editions as demand for paper products and stationery in the region continues to grow.

Organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt is optimistic about the continued success of the exhibition which has grown in size and scope since its launch in the region two years ago. Paperworld Middle East, taking place in Dubai in March next year, is expected to attract a wide representation from international and regional manufacturers and suppliers who are looking to increase their presence in Middle East markets.

“Since its launch Paperworld Middle East has enjoyed a great response from manufacturers and suppliers of paper products, stationery, office supplies and gift articles who are looking to tap into growing regional demand,” said Michael Dehn, Group Exhibitions Director of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “While growing, Paperworld Middle East will continue to evolve to reflect regional trends and individual demands,” he added.

Reflecting the growing concern for greener standards and sustainable development among consumers, Paperworld Middle East will feature the Green Office Area, supported by Ministry of Environment and Water. The Green Office Area is dedicated to showcasing products which are sustainably produced, recyclable and environmentally friendly. It will be of use to trade visitors interested in sourcing ‘green’ products.

His Excellency, Dr. Rashid Ahmed Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, said: “Promoting environmental sustainability is high on our agenda. We encourage initiatives which raise awareness on sustainable products such as the Green Office Area at Paperworld Middle East and encourage everyone to do their part in making the UAE an eco friendly place.”

Thailand has an abundance of land and 40% of our population is in the farming sector. With these natural resources, we have the ability to generate economic wealth that would benefit the farmers and our business in a sustainable manner,” said Mr. Thirawit Leetavorn, Senior Executive President for Double A. “The Middle East has always been a vibrant market for our sustainable premium paper and in Paperworld Middle East 2013, we aim to achieve or even surpass our success from the previous edition.”

Anil Nair, Business Manager from Al Gurg Stationery, the online office solution providers, believes that Paperworld Middle East provides a viable launch pad for those interested in creating fresh business opportunities in the region. “The fair attracts a large number of business people from the region looking for reliable suppliers and we have had positive results from our participation here in previous years,” he said.
