President Sisi directs to continue developing El Manzala lake and all lakes in Egypt

Al-Qaseer, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, and Major General H. Hisham Al-Suwaifi, Head of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has met with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Tuesday to follow up on the executive position for the development of El Manzala lake and surrounding areas, according to statement.

al-Sisi directed the continuation of ongoing efforts to purify and develop El Manzala lake and all lakes throughout the Republic.

The expansions will cover the developing and organizing for marinas and upgrade fishermen’s boats to maximize the return from the fish wealth production in integration with the purification of lakes.

In addition to that it will help to establish urban and tourist clusters, which contributes to raising the living standard for the citizens living around the lake, mentioned in the meeting.

Moreover, the meeting reviewed the efforts that achieved in developing El Manzala lake through several main axes, including environmental aspects, fisheries, maritime transport, tourism, and the social and economic dimension.

During the meeting many proposals for developing and exploiting investment opportunities in El Manzala lake have offered to preserve it and achieve sustainable development.
