Russia would remain a reliable food supplier for African countries despite illegal Western sanctions, according to President Vladimir Putin on Friday at Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg.
He further added that his country recognises the importance of supplying food to African countries, emphasising that it will support African countries in agricultural production.
“We will be ready to provide Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, Central African Republic and Eritrea with 25-50,000 tons of free grain each in the next three to four months,” Putin told the summit.
