Rihanna now 1st female artist with 10 songs of 1 bln streams on Spotify

Grammy winner, Rihanna, has broken a new Spotify record, by becoming the first female artist to have 10 songs reach one billion streams on the music streaming platform, People Magazine reported on Saturday.
Rihanna reached the milestone without releasing an album in seven years, since her 2016 album, Anti.
The singer took to Instagram and Twitter to announce her accomplishment on Friday.

Rihanna had previously opened up about the pressure of releasing new music during an interview with British Vogue.
“So I realized that if I keep waiting until this feels right and perfect and better, maybe it’s going to keep taking forever and maybe it’ll never come out and no, I’m not down to that. So I want to play. And by play, I mean I have my ideas in my head, but I can’t say them out loud yet, I wan it to be this year,” said Rihanna.
Rihanna had released her first song in seven years with Lift Me Up in October 2022, which was featured in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, and was a tribute to late actor, Chadwick Boseman.
