Russian stocks reverse course, falling after brief positive opening

The Russian stocks fell briefly after opening in green notes on Wednesday. By 10:15 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index slipped by 0.28 per cent to 3,208.22 points, while the RTS index also dropped by 0.28 per cent, settling at 1,148.6 points.

In the currency market, the yuan-to-rouble exchange rate increased by 5.7 kopecks to 11,871 roubles.

Earlier, at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index had registered a modest growth of 0.06 per cent, reaching 3,919.11 points, and the RTS index had risen by 0.06 per cent to 1,152.48 points.
